CodeRise Coaching (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy and security of your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect your information when you visit our website, download our free guide, or use our coaching services.

This notice is provided in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

1. Who we are

CodeRise Coaching is a trading name of Coderise Talent Ltd, registered in England and Wales (company no. [number], registered office [address]). Email: hello@coderisecoaching.com. Website: coderisecoaching.com. ICO registration: [number].

We act as a Data Controller for the personal data we process.

2. What personal data we collect

Guide downloads and enquiries: name, email address, and your target role or field.

Coaching clients: name and contact details, your CV, employment and education history, skills, the information you share so we can deliver your coaching, and a payment reference.

Website visitors: IP address and device information, cookies and analytics data, and contact or form submissions.

We do not seek sensitive (special category) data. If you volunteer it, we do not use it unless strictly necessary and with your explicit consent.

3. How we collect your data

Through website forms and the free guide download, direct interactions (such as email), the CV and information you send us for coaching, and basic website analytics.

4. Why we process your data (legal basis)

Consent: to send you the free guide and, where you have opted in, marketing emails about our coaching. You can withdraw consent at any time. Electronic marketing is also governed by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).

Contract: to deliver a coaching package you have purchased.

Legitimate interests: operating and improving our coaching service and responding to your enquiries.

Legal obligation: keeping financial records as required by law.

5. How we use your data

To deliver our coaching services, send you the guide and (with consent) marketing, respond to enquiries, take payment, improve our website and services, and maintain business records. We do not sell your data.

6. Who we share your data with

We use trusted providers who process data on our behalf: our email and marketing tool, our payment provider, and our website host. We may also share data with legal or regulatory authorities where required. All providers are vetted for UK GDPR compliance.

We do not share your data with employers, and buying coaching does not put you forward for any role. Our coaching is completely separate from any recruitment service.

7. International transfers

Some of our providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations or Standard Contractual Clauses.

8. Data retention

We keep data only as long as necessary. Marketing and guide-list data: until you unsubscribe or after [24] months of inactivity. Coaching client records: for the engagement plus [a limited period]. Financial records: 6 years. Website analytics: up to [26] months. You may request deletion at any time.

9. Your rights under UK GDPR

You have the right to access your data, correct it, request deletion, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, and request data portability. To exercise any of these, email hello@coderisecoaching.com. We will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
